Didn't expect Orphen as Demon King 😱

I liked this show in previous seasons but I have no clue what is happening now. I tried to watch carefully but I'm completely lost what and why is happening. Why some characters fights against each other, why some things happens... dunno if its too fast pace or story doesnt make sense.

they're speedrunning through the plot, basically.

This show means to go through the whole series, but that's a lot of LN volumes to go through in only so many seasons worth of budget.

Leaving us with this mess.

You kinda have to extrapolate the information we aren't getting from the developments we do get.

Ah, I was wondering if we just saw Corgon disappear so anti-climatically, but then it looks like we will get a new episode that feels a bit like Trigun; and they will also meet the fantasy version of Spike Spiegel.

Also, am I the only one who thinks the story makes sense and it is clear enough?

We have:
* artificial humans and Azalea (that by now is comparable, existing only through the network and having basically run out of power with her last spell to save Orphen) sacrificing themselves to save the continent;
* Corgon was planning on putting everything in motion for a similar purpose, but he probably just wanted to maintain the status quo, just fixing the barrier and/or killing the goddess, but that would not have changed things in the long run;
* Lottecia knew she was going to end there, but still wanted to leave one last love-hate message to Corgon;
* the 13 Apostles figuring out that the Sanctuary was a farce and run by weak leftovers also realised that they fought a bloody war basically for nothing;
* the goddess is repelled for good, thanks to the surprise attack the deep dragons managed to launch, immolating themselves, but still being kind enough to leave one survivor (Leki);
* Orphen has now god like powers and has to think about what to do with them.

Nice summary...but you forgot the dwarves ......lol

but your point summarry its enough to understand the gist of the plot

I also have a penchant for following more "mature" shows, where there is little to no didascalic exposition and you have to figure out a lot on your own (like in GitS-SAC, for example: the state of the US is never given in full details, but you need to catch bits and bobs of info to figure out how the "American Empire" is now fragmented).

I will add that I suspect:
* Corgon ultimate wish was to give Lottecia a "real" life;
* Leki was reincarnated as a pup of few years (or maybe even months: hard to say how fast the grow), as in like the rest of the Deep Dragons just extracted the part of his soul that diverged and was not part of their collective, given it a new body and let him live his own life - very fair from them;
* the dwarfs were unfortunately not butchered by any of the Sanctuary defendants and we will see them again :(

if not for the dwarves, the anime would have been better :v

yep, i understood nothing and the end of the arc was....anticlimatic :/

i mean, i get the general idea of all, its like i understand....but at the same time no XD

at least theres one more episode, to see the adventures of demon king orphen :v
